Shocking reality of Avan Ivan
A deep and intense research over rare issues always remains as one of the highlighting USPs of filmmaker Bala. The perfect exampless are ‘Pithamaghan’ and ‘Naan Kadavul’ that delivered a realistic portrayal of Ganja business and physically challenged cohorts forced into begging.
The latest buzzes are that Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’ is bounded to a serious theme that will leave lump in our throats. Set in backdrops of Theni, the film revolves around a group that sells aged cows (incapable of providing milk) to buyers in Kerala for the sake of consumption as beef. The cows are purchased with accordance to its weight. To ensure that they get more money, the sellers force the aged cows to consume thick layers of mud mixed with water as it would look hefty.
Though it is not officially confirmed by the crew of ‘Avan Ivan’, it is believed that Bala is capable of adding such elements as it has been evident with his previous movies.

Venkatesh, Allu Arjun, Vishal, Arya
Music of Vaadu Veedu (Telugu dubbed version of Tamil hit Avan Ivan) in the direction of Bala was was launched at Taj Banjara, Hyderabad on Wednesday night.
Venkatesh and Allu Arjun graced the occasion and jointly released the logo of the movie. Later, Venkatesh released the audio CD and presented the first copy to Allu Arjun. Vikram Krishna unveiled the publicity theatre trailer.
Vishal, Arya, Madhu Shalini, Janani, Bala, Chandra Bose, Wilson and Vennelakanti were present. Music is scored by Yuan Shankar Raja.
Vishal said: "Arya is a good friend of mine. He had earlier done Nene Devunni. Though I had done quite a good number of films, a burning zeal stays with me to try a new style, to explore new ventures. Arya came to me and revealed that there was a two-hero based film with Bala. I immediately said `yes` and I soon found that the role I did really quenched my thirst as an artiste.
"I tried the squint-eye character all through the film with much difficulty, suffering prolonged headaches. I am thankful to Venkatesh for gracing the occasion, I have been his fan since my childhood."
Arya said: "Several of my films got dubbed into Telugu and I am thankful to Telugu audiences for their support. The film is made on a lighter vein and Bala`s mark can be seen imprinted thoroughly. The audiences will find good entertainment and music as well."
Bala said: "This is not my film, but it belongs to Vishal and Arya. When Vishal`s parents watched the film, they did go into tears. Arya`s dad laughed a lot."
Allu Arjun said: "I wish that Bala will do straight Telugu films hereafter. Already, Bala succeeded in winning a fan base for him in Tollywood circles. I am ready to work with him and I hope I will get the right script to start the venture soon."
Venkatesh said: "I am a big fan of Bala. Every artiste with a burning zeal for a brilliant career will look forward to work with him. I earnestly wish to do a film with him. Vishal took tremendous risk to unfold a difficult role. I wish the team all the best."

Arya and Vishal join hands!
The new trend in Kollywood with actors chipping in to help their contemporaries in trouble seems to be refreshing. An example for this is the Arya-Vishal friendship. As per sources, it was Arya who was instrumental in ensuring that Avan Ivan was made. He had approached director Bala with a proposal from AGS Films to produce the film. Arya then ensured that his close buddy Vishal was a part of the film.
Now, at a time when Avan Ivan is facing difficulties in hitting the screens owing to certain problems with the distributors, Vishal and Arya are trying to set it right and have the film released on time. Both the actors are doing everything within their power to ensure that Avan Ivan hits the silver screens on June 10th, as planned.
It is refreshing to note that the young stars are not giving way to egoistic tendencies and working in tandem to ensure that their movie comes out without any trouble.

Arya fighting in Pondicherry!
Lingusamy's Vettai starring Arya and Madhavan is going on in brisk pace. The unit is currently at Pondicherry shooting for an action sequence. Stunt master Selva is choreographing this sequence which has Arya taking on some goons. It is to be noted that a lot of scenes have been canned at Karaikudi with all the four lead stars- Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul. Arya and Madhavan are playing brothers in this movie and rumors are that Madhavan plays a cop.
Looks like Vettai is going to be an action extravaganza true to its name. Lingusamy is best appreciated for his action movies like Run and Sandakozhi and we hope he repeats the success with Vettai and showcase Arya in a complete action role.

Vettai is my "Run"!
Brimming with optimism and confidence is Arya. The actor says his forthcoming film ‘Vettai’ with Lingusamy, in which he is sharing the screen space with Madhavan, will be a landmark movie in his career.
“Like how ‘Run’ by Lingusamy weaved a magic for Madhavan, ‘Vettai’ will be memorable for me. It is a stylish commercial story shot in typical Lingusamy style. I love his style of filmmaking,” the actor says.
On shifting genres film after film, Arya says, “I should thank my directors for that. They come to me with confidence and I try my best to live up to their hopes. That’s how most of my films happened.”
Expressing his admiration towards Bala, he says, “It’s a great gift for the actor in me to work with him in two films- ‘Naan Kadavul’ and ‘Avan Ivan’. Each and every day was a great learning experience.”

Vettai's second schedule
Director Lingusamy and team just returned from Karaikudi recently after completing the first schedule of Vettai. The film’s lead stars Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy along with the supporting actors and actresses are now gearing up to travel to Thoothukudi and Thirunelveli where the second schedule is due to take place.
Vettai is being produced by Lingusamy’s home banner Tirupati Brothers. The music for this film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Yuvan and Lingusamy had joined hands for Paiyya and the songs in that film turned out to be smash hits. With both of them coming together once again for Vettai, we can expect some more chartbusters.
